Channel News Asia Documentary: Egg Freezing Journey

Emcee Singapore: Charmaine was featured on her egg freezing journey on Channel News Asia documentary “The Race For Babies: Our Fertility Issues – The Baby Makers Part 1”.

Charmaine was allowed to freeze her eggs on medical grounds to preserve her fertility before the move of legalising Social Egg Freezing for women in 2023.

This new law will allow single women aged 21 to 35 to freeze their eggs. This is an effort by the government to overcome the population dilemma and help to improve the situation of falling birth rate and declining fertility.

She managed to successfully appeal on her case when news of the impending new law broke and immediately cancelled her original plans to go to Kuala Lumpur for the egg freezing procedure.

Charmaine is happy to be part of the conversation on fertility option efforts to make it easier for women to have children.
