Emcee Singapore: Charmaine interviewed Melvin, the winner of the Pokémon Championships 2021-22 on his memorable moments and online strategies during epic battles of the Top Cut Playoffs at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore.

Melvin, known by his cool name Shaman, fought hard to win the top prize of a trip to London to compete with the best of the best around the world. On his one step closer to winning the top spot, he was highly confident, having won top 16 twice in 2018 and 2019.

Melvin spoke to emcee Singapore Charmaine fondly of how his favourite Pokémon in Sword and Shield, Shendinjz, had always been a good luck charm throughout his entire playoffs.
